Miraculous Healing from Brain Injury

In early 2015 our son was involved in a serious accident. He sustained critical life threatening injuries. A CT scan showed significant skull fractures from the right parietal region through temporal bone and the base of his skull.  He had significant associated bleeding on the brain.  He had fractures of his left thumb. He sustained ligament damage to his right knee.  The life threatening injury was the severe traumatic brain injury.

He was in ICU, attached to many machines and tubes.  He couldn't even breathe on his own.  He was in an induced coma and kept mildly hypodermic in an attempt to reduce the swelling in his brain (inter-cranial pressure).

Despite various attempts by the doctors the swelling didn't stabilize. A hospital staff member told our friend to start organizing the funeral.  We wanted someone to pray for our son and family, and Pastor Theuns came.  He prayed for our boy to be healed.  He also prayed for our devastated family.  Theuns told us that Jesus loves to answer our prayers because He loves to demonstrate how much He loves us.  Despite everything we started to feel peace.

The brain swelling decreased, but we were shattered to learn that our son had developed life threatening pneumonia. Despite being on a respirator his lungs weren't getting enough air.  They were filled with pus.  He was fighting for his life and it was stressed that we should prepare for his death.

Theuns came back and prayed for complete healing.  He encouraged us that God has a plan and purpose for our boy.  He told us not to give up and to trust God.  The pneumonia healed and his lungs cleared.  He eventually came out of the coma and off the life support.  In time, he was able to sit, stand, eat and walk. 7 months later his brain function is almost back to normal. He is getting better all the time.

Thank you Jesus for answering those prayers.  Jesus truly can and does heal!!
